Because the Ramp Has to Connect Correctly with the Work Around it
Jennings Concrete installs ADA pedestrian ramps for commercial and site development projects throughout the tri-county area. These ramps are part of the pedestrian route through the site and often occur where sidewalks, curb and gutter, paving and roadway elevations come together.
We build from the approved project details, including the layout, elevations and detectable warning panel specified for the job. Because the ramp has to connect correctly with the work around it, Jennings coordinates our concrete scope with the sitework contractor and surrounding improvements.
Detectable Warning Panels
Where shown in the plans, Jennings installs truncated-dome detectable warning panels as part of the pedestrian ramp scope.
Depending on the project requirements, these may include cast-in-place mats or pavers in the specified color and size.
ADA Ramps Within the Larger Sitework Package
Pedestrian ramps are transition points within the site, so elevations and surrounding grades matter. Jennings coordinates our work with adjacent sidewalks, curb and paving so the ramp connects to the accessible route as shown in the approved plans.
Scheduling matters here as well. We work with the contractor so the ramp is placed at the appropriate stage of the sitework rather than creating conflicts with work that still needs to happen around it.
